The mission of the Bossier Parish District Attorney’s Juvenile Division is to protect children. It welcomes all calls from the public concerning its mission and will advise accordingly. However, the office cannot give out legal advice on personal matters.

The Juvenile Division is responsible for prosecuting crimes committed by children (17 years of age and younger). It also pursues cases involving children (17 years of age and younger) who are ungovernable or who are truant. Additionally, it pursues cases of child abuse and neglect.

Please report all crimes committed by children to your local law enforcement agency. If it is an emergency, please dial 911.

  • Report child abuse to the Child Abuse Hotline: 1-855-452-5437

Notice: Once a case has started against a parent or a child, the District Attorney’s Office is prohibited from speaking with the parent or child. The parent or child should contact their lawyer of choice, the Public Defender’s Office (318) 965-0630, or the Clerk of Court’s Office (318) 965-2336. So please remember, if the District Attorney’s Office is contacted, you will be referred to one of the above.
